Dr. Valerie Drake grew up in a small town in Texas. As a former nationally ranked junior tennis player and valedictorian of her class in high school, she has always strived to be the best at whatever she does. Accordingly, your mouth will be in good hands with Dr. Drake.
Dr. Drake grew up around dentistry. Her father is a dentist, so she was helping out in her family’s dental office from the time she could walk. After attending the University of Texas in Austin for her undergraduate degree, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry (Texas A&M College of Dentistry). She began practicing dentistry in 1999.
Outside of the office, Dr. Drake has a passion for serving the local community. She is a board member of Texas State Technical College Dental Hygiene School. Previously, she served as a board member for the American Cancer Society.
Dr. Drake is not content to take it easy. Instead, she takes many continuing education courses to make sure she is up to date on all the latest dental care techniques. She holds a Fellowship from both the Academy of General Dentistry and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, as well as a Mastership from the same organization.
