It’s Gum Disease Awareness Month, so here are three helpful reminders about the best way to be good to your gums!
First, brush your teeth twice a day for two minutes each time. Be sure to use a soft bristle toothbrush, and brush your tongue to keep harmful bacteria at bay.
Second, don’t forget that dental floss!
Flossing between your teeth once a day is one of the best things you can do to prevent cavities and gum disease because you’re removing food particles that feed oral bacteria.
And third, visit Dr. Drake every six months for dental cleanings and exams so we can remove harmful plaque from your teeth, check your gums for any signs of infection, and provide quick treatment to stop gum disease in its tracks.
